5 Behavioral Rules To Get Rid Of Belly Fat And Lose Weight

There are two major factors deciding the success in your task to get rid of belly fat and lose weight. First is to choose the right method, be it diet, or exercise program or any combination of those two. As you may know, not every diet really works when it come to get rid of belly fat. The second factor is how you deal with the necessary behavioral changes and how long you can stick with them. This is the subject of this article. From my experience, here are 5 golden rules that will make your life a lot easier and will help you to get rid of belly fat and lose weight.

#1. Be Aware That A Big Stomach Is A Sick Stomach
To get rid of belly fat is not only a matter of looking good or being sexy; is a very strong health issue. You shouldnt ignore the weight problems just as you wouldnt ignore lung problems, foe example. Being overweighted is a risk factor for your health just as any disease. Remember that and your motivation to get rid of belly fat will greatly strengthen.

#2. Advance In Specific And Attainable Steps
Setting general goals like this month i will get rid of belly fat is not specific enough and therefore hard to attain. You need to set progressive and clear goals. Clear goals like this week i will walk every morning 30 minutes are attainable. Also starting small and adding new steps every week works much better than making drastic changes from the beginning and failing to keep them.

#3. Every Step Forward Is A Success!
Every time you achieve one of your goals dont hesitate to reward yourself. A small present, or maybe an afternoon off from work, whatever you like and makes you feel good. Every small step brings you closer to you target, and deserve to be rewarded. An effective reward system is very useful to reinvigorate your motivation and make behavioral change easier.

#4. Avoiding Temptations Is Better Than Confronting Them
Being aware of what circumstances encourage undesired temptations and avoiding them is a smart thing to do. If there are social meetings or places that strongly connect you with your old habits, is better to avoid them, at least at the beginning. And dont forget to reward yourself after that.

#5. Lost A Battle But Not The War
If you break the diet once or gave up to some temptations it doesnt mean is all lost. Every day is a new day, and a new chance. Dont waste time in blaming yourself, just review your goals and keep going from where you stopped. The mark of success is to persevere in spite of failures.
