Embedding Your Identity Into Your Products
When you want your clients to remain loyal to your business, there’s only one way to go about it. You need to be personal with your customers if you want to establish a solid and strong relationship with them. Let’s face it. As consumers, we have the propensity to ‘personify’ things, especially when we’re bombarded with so many choices. There are a hundred thousand choices in the market for most of the things we need. This is quite overwhelming. That’s why for you, as a business owner, to get your share of the market, you need to identify your unique qualities, most especially that which would differentiate you from the rest of your competition. This just goes to show that building a personal relationship with your clients means having your products and services patronized by your consumers. And that goes also for customer loyalty. The consumers’ perception of your company can be attributed to the feelings and the things they experience when they use your product or avail of your service. When they are pleased with you, most likely that they would go back for your products again and again. A pleased client is a loyal customer. When they are pleased and satisfied, this means that your customers associate with what you believe in – the values, beliefs, traditions and identity that you are known for. This is also the reason why you should promote familiarity among your customers. When you do, you have the most opportunity to create a stronger bond which makes it easier for your clients to be loyal to you. During this bonding stage, it is then that your identity would come out. Whatever it is you present in your logo and marketing tools (e.g. full color flyers, brochures, catalogs), it is what your clients and prospects will remember for many years. This is your corporate identity. This is what you believed in, what you stand for, and what you would want to accomplish. The key is to set yourself as the most unique among your competition. It may be through the promotional tools you create such as your flyer printing pieces, or it’s in the way you provide customer service. The thing you have to remember is to put your identity to everything that you have – be it your products, your services, and even your promotional campaigns. This is very important because the image that your clients will accept and remember would be the thing that they will feel familiar with when they decide to deal with you.
