HUGO Create: a creative competition

Dedicated to designers, illustrators and photographers alike, HUGO Fragrances has put together a distinguished panel of judges consisting of representatives of HUGO Fragrances and the HUGO BOSS Fashion Group plus renowned creative experts to narrow down all submitted entries to 10 winners for each round.

The technique for the contest is freestyle: any form of computerized, illustration, photographic, drawings, illustration, painting, ... techniques, may be used but your artwork should include the HUGO Man Bottle. Each participant is allowed to submit multiple artworks in the same round. The format used to publish the visuals on the website is 672 pixels large x 960 pixels high. The artworks must be submitted as RGB JPGs of max. 0.5 MB.

City Sounds Theme
Entries should revolve around “City Sounds”, the way that sounds (in the largest sense) affects our perception of the city. In cities as New York, London or Tokyo, … many metropolitan noises resonate to create an unbelievable soundscape. Imagine a busy shopping street with a lot of voices, a busker playing the saxophone, a police siren, car tires, trucks and scooters zipping… Sometimes we prefer to walk to the beat of a different drum. The songs we listen to on our mp3-player are a welcome supplement whilst moving through the city. Our choice of songs and volume control play an important part in propping up a mood or attitude. “City Sounds” is all about what goes on “outside” and what goes on between one’s ears.
