Nothing motivates a fat person to lose weight like discrimination does. The fact that they are not accepted by other folk and are not able to mingle is a sting and stigma that causes people to do something about the situation. This does not pardon the practice, though. Discrimination against fat people should be stopped all over the world.

Chronic illness can also cause you to lose weight. As a matter of fact, I know of a guy who, understanding that he was prone to a certain feverish relapse every other month, he would eat himself to substantial fat prior to that. Months later, when he fell ill, he would lose all that weight in a couple of days. Cute idea, but don't try it at home.

Weight loss is more than a practice in America these days, it is a whole industry. Obese and overweight people are treated like outcasts, and it is not something they can take easily. So they buy weight loss products and go to the gym. And when it looks like things are not changing, they go ahead and buy more products. But do the weight loss products work as advertised? Hardly.

If your daily habits do not concur with your body metabolism, you might have a lot of weight problems. You could gain weight if you eat too much and work out too little; and you could lose weight if the reverse is the situation. You must find a way to achieve some sort of balance.

Losing weight is never as easy as it is gaining. To begin with, you would never have allowed yourself to get that big if you had thought that it would be this much trouble losing the weight back. But having happened already, the only way through is forward, and you have to live with that.

Athletes lose weight all the time, and it is not because they are fat or anything of that nature. For them, the weight they lose is to attain a certain goal that might enhance their sporty performance. Even they have to watch out so as not to overdo it, or else leave themselves exposed to various other illnesses.

Unless you have a death wish or you have totally given up on life, you most certainly wan to stay healthy, do you not? So if you are overweight, exposed to all the physical and psychological ailments that come with that condition, you most certainly want to lose the weight, don't you? So what are you doing still thinking about it; you should be doing something!

After losing weight, a formerly obese person is likely to still have trouble with self confidence and depression. As a result, they must undergo a gradual ‘reinsertion' to society so that they can function properly as individuals.
