Why You Need A Great Landing Page
The primary and most critical function of search engine marketing is generating targeted traffic of visitors to your services and products, and generating leads that eventually convert to actual sales of products. Search engines are the places where websites are marketed and the most efficient way to attract target audience is by pulling traffic from the search engines. Once the target audience is successfully directed to your website it is important to present information about our products and services in such a manner that casual visitors are converted to solid leads and eventual sale. Visitors can be persuaded to buy your products on display if the landing pages are eye catching and attractive. Landing pages are the first pages a visitor sees once he or she is directed to the website from the search engine. This is applicable to all websites, even websites that do not sell any products or services using search engine marketing tricks. If all you want is visitors to visit your website and sign in, you still need a landing page that conveys the message to them. Having a great landing page is one of the most important components of search engine marketing strategy, unfortunately many website owners fail to understand its importance and loose a great percentage of visitor sales. To maximize your return on investment in a search engine marketing campaign you should be able to generate leads by having a smart and attractive landing page. A common mistake made by websites is that they take the visitors directly to the home page. This is counterproductive and does not generate leads. The home pages of most commercial websites merely act as a directory to various departments. The visitor gets misguided and may enter any page that is not necessarily the sales page and in many cases will move out of the website without accessing the sales page, this will not help you in any way. Landing pages are concise and focus on the target action. The thing that is most in its favor is that landing pages need not be a part of your website. They can even be just connecting pages that direct the visitors to the website once the desired action is executed. This focused and targeted approach makes landing pages indispensable. Landing pages need not be flashy and it is better to keep them simple with only the instructions of the actions to be taken by the visitors. If there are too many distractions on the landing page with too many clicks it is likely to repel the visitors and force him or her out of the website. Landing pages should be user friendly and should prompt users to perform the desired action they should be trustworthy and convincing. The display of products and services along with additional information that helps users understand the product and service better is a desirable attribute of landing pages. Landing pages make the search engine marketing campaign a success if designed thoughtfully.
